The lucite is cone shape with NASA's logo and "Apollo" in gold.thisismillsWondering if this is it below, as at least this side matches the description.BMckayYes that is on it. Any details?tnperriThe medal is: Apollo 11 XI moon landing bronze medal coin, Armstrong Aldrin Collins 1969 NASA.BMckayIs it collectible? Rare? Common?Robert PearlmanRecent eBay sales for the loose medallion sold for $5 to $20 each.usafspaceBryan, we have four of them if you need any more.thisismillsAn example as mentioned above for sale on eBay here, photos show front and back of the medallion. I've also seen a version where the landing date and quote are not present, with all other details the same.Ken HavekotteThey were used by Rockwell's Space Division for awards and/or promotional gifts to company officials, VIP's, and even to known news media folks involved with first lunar landing mission.SpacepsychoI have one of these, it's a cold polyester resin display, mine is identical except for the lack of a NASA logo on the bottom. I got it from an NAA engineer who worked in Downey. This was a five-step resin that required three separate pours that's interesting but not particularly rare.
